Understanding the City’s Budget Process

Many of the issues discussed by City Council ultimately connect back to the budget. What I’m Hoping For This Site

Over the past several months, I’ve been thinking about how to communicate with residents outside of City Council meetings. Official information belongs on the City’s website. Agendas, packets, minutes, and public notices should always come from official sources. However, many residents are interested in the context behind decisions, the questions being discussed, and the tradeoffs that local government often requires. My goal for this site is to share observations, meeting notes, updates, and opportunities for engagement while helping residents stay informed about issues affecting our community. I hope this becomes a useful resource for anyone interested in the future of Lathrup Village.
